How can I fix my Hotpoint FDW60 Dishwasher?

Please can you help? My Hotpoint FDW60 dishwasher suddenly stopped mid-cycle and as I am a qualified electrician, I thought it worthwhile an investigation. I discovered that the circuit board had been burning around the connection from the on/off switch and was able to effect a successful repair around the burnt terminal. I therefore thought that all would be well. How wrong can you be? I now have the pre-wash and drying LEDs flickering. Sometimes, when the on/off switch is operated in quick succession the lights on the left-hand side panel change sequence. On one occassion, the Fast 40°C LED illuminated and the pump ran continually. Is this red herring or is it a secret error code that I have discovered? The only way to cancel any of this sequence is to isolate it from the mains switch, whereby on switching it back on again, it comes back to the pre-wash and drying LEDs flickering. Any help on this would be appreciated!

You may have killed some of the circuits/chips on the board with static during your attempted repair - suggest you get it sorted by Hotpoint!
