washer wont drain water?

I have a Whirlpool front load washing machine. Not often, but I've not been able to narrow down what makes this happen, but water will not drain from the tub *after* the cycle has completed. The cycle will finish and the clothes have been spun, but if I return to it several hours later, there's a pool of water in the machine. If clothes are there, I'll have to run a drain/spin cycle to spin the clothes and to drain the water. We had the mother board replaced last year.

Typical result of one of the fill valves at back of machine not closing properly (usually require replacing)

Can happen due to age of machine, failed part or in my area sand/grit from borehole supplys getting caught preventing valve from closing completely

This allows water to trickle through slowly so filling the machine again I suggest you turn off the water supply while not using it

If you have 2 seperate inlet valves you can try turning one off at a time and leaving it for a while to find out which is leaking.
