recently boght a 2005 1.8 diesel ford bantam. whilst driving the elctronics just went dead, no speedeo, revs etc, and slowly started coming back to life by firstly going haywire (speedo and revs and other gauges switching on and of rapidly) and then fully recovered after the engine was swithced off

Had this problem with a ford myself. Eventualy i replace the instrement panel and the problem stopped.
