how do i replace front brake pads on my rover 200?

my brakes are squealing on my rover 200. I think the pads need replacing how do i do it

That is pretty much it. The safety stuff is important, chock wheels and use stands to support the car.

Remove the cap on your master cylinder and cover with a clean cloth as when you move the caliper pistons back it will push fluid up.

The anti squeal shims may benefit from a very light coating of copper grease.

right then, on the caliper there is a 12 or 13mm bolt there r 2 of these unscrew these take off the caliper squeeze back the piston to enable u to fit the new ones, take out ur old pads chuck in the new ones, put the caliper back on, and then pump the pedal gently till it gets hard then do a repeat performance on the otherside.
