Using key, enter car, alarm will sound (unless previously turned off using the under bonnet key) and lights will flash anyway.
Close door and wait for alarm/lights to cease.
Insert key into ignition but don't turn.
Press and hold sensor disable button on right of steering column (use left hand!) 'cos now you need to turn ignition on. Hazard lights will flash 3 times. Alarm system turned off. Use key only from now on.
