How do I reset Scantronic 9000 after complete power failure?

After replacing the battery on my Scantronic 9000 with the power supply off as well, it is now showing an sf code on the keypad. can anyone tell me how to reset the system please?

I think it will be SR which means system reset after a total power failure. Power down the panel mains supply, open the panel and remove the battery. Close the tamper switch on the control panel and power up with the battery first, key in 1234 or your user code fault led and call engineer leds should be on. key in 0 enter 7890 display should clear. key in 99 enter. Day led will light.
If this does not work then you will have to power down the panel mains and battery. On the circuit board, on the right hand side you will see a small square chip with a white dot on the top left corner. Above the chip it will be marked NVM. Remove this chip by easing it out of it's holder using a small flat screwdriver. Be carefull not to bend the pins as you are removing it. Hold in the panel tamper switch and connect the battery. Key in 1234, then key in 0 enter 7890 and release the tamper switch. Refit the NVM chip (with the battery power still connected) make sure that the white dot is to the top left. Key in 98 enter, close the tamper switch. Key in 99 enter ( you have loaded standard factory codes). key in 0 enter 7890, release tamper switch. You can now reprogramme panel options and functions as required. If you get this far let me know and I will tell you how to programme the panel.
