how to adjust the height of the driver seat on my fiat punto 1996-97 55x?

i cant move the height of the driver seat on my fiat punto 1996-97 i have pulled the lever and the seat went up high. now i cant move it back down it seems to have locked into being as high as it can go. any suggestions would be welcome on how to move it back down.
