MY SAMSUNG ER 5100 IS NOT TAKING UP THE AUDIT ROLL BUT IS NOT STUCK?

THE AUDIT ROLL IS NOT BEING DRIVEN IN MY SAMSUNG ER 5100. THE PRINTER IS JUST PRINTING ON ONE LINE BUT I AM PRETTY CERTAIN ITS NOT A PAPER JAM BUT A DRIVER PROBLEM.

The wind up belt has snapped. Right hand side. Its a toothed belt that just connects the gears to the audit winder. You can buy a new one at Unicomp.

Hi.
It is unlikely to be a jam if the printer is still printing on the receipt paper normally. I haven't worked on these much, but I know that the motor driver IC can fail. Otherwise, the feed solenoid for that roll may be having problems. It will probably need to go in for service .
