we recommend a max of 3 meters externally but even this can cause problems with blockages depending on the route taken to the sink waste outlet.the larger the volume of water the machine has to move the harder the drain pump has to work upto the point where the drain pump will not have enough go to move the water over the distance.bringing the waste pipe closer to the machine is the ideal, but you make your own mind up.
