1994 ford mondeo: low reading temp guage?

The temperature indicator has started to sit just above the white section instead of in the middle of the guage. Have replaced the thermostat still the indicator sits low. Anyone any ideas?

Thermostat's can be for different temperature settings.
You havent said whether your engine is running hot or cold or apparently normal.
If it seems to be normal leave it, if it is cold you could block part of the rad off, if it's hot remove the thermostat.
Maybe the electric fan is staying on all the time instead of cutting out at right temp. Temperature sensor may need replacing.
Good luck hope this helps you.

Temperature Sensor/sender unit, try replacing these, or you could always try...
