changing a motor?

how do you change a motor on a flymo 380 turbo compact?
Ruby Roo, May 2008
Disconnect machine from mains.
1. Remove blade, spacers and impeller.
2. Remove front motor cover (curved orange plastic panel; two screws)
3. Remove two air filter 'foams' from their locating pegs on either side of motor.
4. Turn machine on side. Unscrew eight x-head screws from beneath, while supporting motor/belt drive assembly from top. (two in-line at front; two side-by-side; four in semi-circle at rear of rotor hub
5. Remove two power leads (brown and blue) from motor.
6. Remove entire motor/belt drive assembly.
7. Remove four motor mounting screws from underside.
8. Replace with new motor.
9. Re-assembly is reverse process
