i've put a small amount of water in with my oil in my renault scenic, will it be ok, is there anything I can do

Hi Shaun, it depends on what you mean by a small amount! in theory if it is just a small amount it will do no harm as it will get evaporated when the engine gets up to temperature but if its like half a pint then you should drain the oil and replace the filter and refill with new oil, but how did you manage to put water into the oil in the first place????
