My Hotpoint Aquarius Extra WMA46 stops before the end of a cycle, failing to spin.

machine needs to pump off the excess water before trying to spin you may have a partial blockage or the brushes in the motor are worn
Clean out the sump filter pot ,clean out and check operation of the pump, lastly invest in new brushes for the motor .
