If your spring is not broke you should just be able to turn the wheel backwards and re-feed the line and then let go of the wheel and the spring should take up the slack in the cord. There are 4 bolts that have to be removed 2 on the top and 2 on the side of the housing. Mine broke last weekend and I have spent about 2 hours fooling with it, including drilling out the rivets just to find the spring broke and the housing that held the spring was also broke. I could not fix that.
