Epson Photo 750 - Flashing lights!!!?

Was OK the day before, when switched it ON all lights flashing.. read most of the ideas on this site and it still is flashing.
Up to now, I have tried the EPROM reset umpteen times, have taken out the Battery for a hour or so... checked the pads - not too damp - cleaned the lower one. It has stumped me, what can I do now?? other than to bin it!! really a shame as it is a good printer up to now!! (I have hidden my lump hammer!!)

battery - well I never knew that

Anyway glad you got it fixed

The battery is on the main board - there is a power supply board next the main board which has the EEPROM and control circuity. This is behind the back panel where the LPT - USB - Power plug is.
There are three screws at the back and one screw at the right side and 2 on the left as you look from the front -then it will lift out, you can see the flat cables going inside. I think the Batt is 2032 button cell (3V) - mine had a voltage of 2.97V - so, it was OK - not bad for a 8/9 yr old m/c/
Anyway, it is now working OK - Phew!! I took out the Batt out, fired the printer up, still flashing lights, switched it off and did a reset with the (normal 2 buttons pressed at switch on) and it reseted OK. Put the Batt back in - switched ON - no flashing lights.... all back to normal. (27/5/08)
A coincidence???
