Ford Escort Driver's Side lock faulty?

My Ford Escort's Driver's side door lock is faulty. I can Lock the car but am unable to unlock it. Can anybody help me hoiw to fix it.

Hi, you will have to replace the lock, no way around it when they fail you can only lock it!
