remote locking on 97p galaxy?

i cant seem to put the car into learn mode for re programming the remote door locking. when you turn key to unlock position on door 3 times the red led wont come on any ideas ?

Disconnect the fuse feeding the door locking for 5 minutes, then replace. This reinitialises the system
