my electrolux edb710x oven wont work?

my oven is a double oven and the top oven works fine, the bottom one dosnt at all, their dosnt seem to be any power getting to th fan or element.also think element could be goosed. when you turn knob for main oven the red light dosnt come on and the oven dosnt do anything.when it went it tripped the breaker in the consumer unit. unsure if it is element or somthing else.the model is electrolux edb710x thanks

If there are no volts at the fan or element then it looks like it might be the thermostat which controls the electrics feeding them.Alternatively , if there is a timer , then this normally controls the main oven so this might be the culprit. If you have a multimeter or mains neon-test screwdriver you could fault it by testing for volts through the circuit...(.or check the element + fan for continuity ).. If you are not sure what you are doing then it`s best to call in an electrician.(If you are OK working with electrics then to prove the thermostat, it may be possible to swop the thermostat controls over from the small oven to the main one. It saves buying one )
