spongy brakes?

i have just changed out the master cylinder in my 98 vw sharan tdi sport. after whichi bled the brakes 3 times. i am still getting a very spongy feel when i press down on the brake pedal. any help would be great. thanx

thanx bg. had thought about that but was hoping i wouldnt need to do it as the pipes coming off master cylinder are pretty awkward to get at. going to try it now.fingers x.

Sounds like you still have air in system ......bleed master cyl..and then rear wheel cylinder furthest away from master cyl ect ect ........might have to pressure bleed them or I have seen guys gravity bleed the brakes by loosin all bleeder screws and letting it drip for awhile ...
