When I start my car Battery light always remains on throughout my journey, replaced the battery but this hasn't cured the problem,

also the other day I was driving along and the car just died power steering just locked up and abs and stalled like there was no power a friend said might be the alternator but want to be sure, does anyone have any ideas please.

Check the tension/condition of the belt for the alternator and power steering pump. If the belt is loose or slipping the alternator will not be charging the battery properly thats why the bat light is remaining lit.
