Ford escort van leaking footwells?

Hi

Can anyone help? The front passenger and drivers footwell sometimes have puddles of water in them when it rains. I cant find the cause to the problem, ive checked the windscreen and dashboard and these are not leaking. Ive had new internal/ external door seals. Can anyone help!!

Could be from the gutter above the door seal which may be rusty underneath and runs down into the door seal and down into the footwell, thats where mines was coming from anyway.

I have the same problem. After a heavy downpoor i went into my van and noticed water running down the windscreen form the top left and right corners. I added a bit of sealer and now the problem is fixed.

had same problem on escort van, found it was coming down the roof rails in to the top of the windscreen seal and making it way down the side of the trim between door and dash on to the floor, sealed both side's of the plastic moulding's on the roof seem's to have stoped the problem but if you have a roof rack fitted you may have to seal that

Comes in thru' outside grills under front windows there is obviously a run off pipe that becomes blocked....good luck in finding it.I can't.

remove door trims and check membranes-they must be complete and stuck at sides and bottom ,if not they will let water into footwells
