on old di fuel pumps you have a start stop solinoid when your ignition is on make sure thier is power going to it if there is power try removing it take out the plunger check in the hole for obstructions "sometimes things get by the filter" refit without plunger and try if this works you will need to stall it to turn it off

run a jumper wire from bat+ to the fuel cutoff solonoid on injection pump,if it runs of the key then ignition switch /wiring fault
