Why does my Astra not blow hot air from heater?

Hi, my 1997 Vauxhall Astra will not blow hot air from the heater. Only warm at best. The oil temp needle never seems to get out of the blue also. Are these related?

Probably because theres no water in your radiator. Quick easy and free to check and fix. Well worth checking before anything else.

could be the thermostat that is stuck open in the cooling system cheap enough to change and easy to do
