G E TFX30PR water leaking in freezer?

My GE Profile TFX30PR is leaking water in the freezer and refreezing in the bottom, my husband replaced the defroster fan but it did not help. Do you think it could have been defective? It is pretty old but I still would like to keep it .
Any ideas on what it could be?

I have been having the same problem. I think he should check the water solenoid behind the fridge.
It's 90% of all icemaker trouble. I am changing mine.
I did alot of research and after taking my soleniod out, I found it to be broken. its a $50.00 part and can be changed by your husband.

C. Vint,

Have your husband check to see if the defrost drain line is clogged. Behind a panel in the freezer, there is a small pan under the heater. Find the drain hole and clear the line with compressed air or a small snake.
