can improve the reception on my mobile?

I have a nokia 6500 slide on O2 contract.
I work in an area the has very bad signal strength on O2.
Is there anything that can be done to improve the signal strengh to my mobile.

You could move areas to were there is better reception or try switching to another network.

Sorry I dont mean that to sound rude, its just there isnt really much you can do if there are no masts around the area... Things like covering your phone in aluminium foil wont really help :)
