I have a 1952 Fordson major fuel problem?

Unfortunatly we have put in forecourt diesel, now she dosn't start, have drained the tank but any ideas on how we can get it started?

Presuming your engine is diesel, no reason it shouldn't run on road fuel. If it ran out of fuel system needs to be bled to remove air (bleed screw on side of injector pump). You may also need to slacken off pipes at injectors and crank engine until fuel comes through then retighten.

Problem I found with old Majors is rust in the tank which blocks the outlet filter and also clogs the fuel filter element.

A petrol engine fuelled up with diesel will probably need the carb. stripping and the jets cleared.
