MY CHAMPION R434 LAWN MOWER BELCHES WHITE SMOKE?

IT HAS JUST STARTED TO DO THIS, THE SMOKE COMES FROM THE SILVER EXIT PIPE ON THE FRONT (I AM A WOMAN AND KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ENGINES) THE SMOKE IS SO PROFUSE SOMETHING IS OBVIOUSLY WRONG AND I AM WORRIED IT WILL BLOW UP.

What someone may have done is to put too much oil into the sump (I did this myself so learnt the hard way).

If you keep using the mower, the oil will burn off eventually and the exhaust will go back to normal.

Another alternative (but less likely) is that the ring around the piston may have broken which allows oil up into the chamber.

your mower sounds like it is burning oil, I have the same type mower and after cleaning the underneath of my mower by tipping it onto its side I had the smoke problem, I have sinced kept my mower stored level and kept it level when cleaning or transporting it, and I have not had a repeat of the smoke fault. i hope this helps
