HOW TO FIX AEG 40300?

THE DRAIN PUMP RUNS CONTINOUSLY WHEN THE POWER AT THE WALL PLUG IS SWITCHED ON REGARDLESS OF THE SETTINGS OF THE WASHING CYCLE
JEREMY, June 2008
If u have the same problem as I do then you have a leak from the main chamber into a sump. Mine is caused by a leak on the inlet water valve and even with the m/c turned off the chamber floods filling the sump which has a safety float that in turn operates the pump.
With the m/c empty carefully turn it onto its front door. Water will flood your floor. Right it again and the pump will have stopped. If u can find a replacement inlet valve assembly plse let me know as I have to turn off the inlet water after every wash.
