My Speedfight 2 won't start, esp in damp/wet conditions?

My Speedfight 2 50cc (52 Reg) won't spark up in damp/wet conditions and now won't start at all. Any ideas?? Is it the coil?? Is it the immobilizer.... I have been told the immobilizer has this sort of problem, but at over £100 to fix, I am hoping this isn't the case?

Any ideas?

my speedfight was 4 years old and had 1500km on the clock when i bought and it wouldnt start on the first day as i left it ouytside, but if you keep it inside a warm house or garage it might help, i know this soungds stupid, but try putting the hairdryer on the motor and cylinder that is what does mine, email me for more info cracker7295@hotmail.com

I have the Workshop Manual for that bike, It includes loads of fault finding help, Pictures, Part lists & wiring diagrams etc. If you would like a copy email me @ slippery.steve@ntlworld.com

Or look at my small guide I posted @ http://www.howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=143363

Best of luck!

no spark when damp usually means the spark is going somewhwer else.try starting at night in as dark as possible, look and listen for the spark jumping u may see blue flashes from the coil ,lead,or plug cap jumping to the engine.anyway renew the plug and plug cap, cheapest starting point
