How do I replace the drive belt on a Simplicity Regent mower?

I have a Simplicity Regent Lawn Tractor with a broken drive belt. mfg. No. 1693928.
I have tried to remove the PTO clutch as shown in the handbook but when you put a socket on the capscrew it just rotates the engine, what do I do? Any advice would be appreciated.

I did what Chris said to do and it worked. Thanks!

I just encountered the same problem that you did. I ended up tightening the three bolts around the magnetic clutch pretty tight, at that point it prevented it from spinning and I was easily able to remove the bottom screw to take off the pullies and slip the belt around them.

Just remember to loosen them up once you put it back together.
