My model number is LAT 9635AAE top load (10 years old)
Between the rinse and spin cycle my washing machine does not drain properly, it overflows and I must stop it 3-4 times before the drain clears and spin cycle can begin. Help!
First thing I would do is check the drain hose and make sure there are no kinks in it. Then I would open the washer and check the pump and drain hose to make sure it's not blocked up.

check the pump and filter is not cloged. if the waste pipe connects to the sink then check it is not clogged up there as well
