Diagnosis for 1990 CRX transaxle problem?

I have a 1990 CRX DX with a 5SPD. During 1,2, and 3rd gears I hear a grinding noise that is only present off and on during those gears. It doesn't affect the pull or shifting of the car. My only guess is the bearings. Does anyone have any ideas?

sounds like your synchronizers might be going bad have it checked by trans service center might need rebuilt
