REMOVING THE REAR BRAKE DRUM/HUB,FROM A CITROEN SAXO 1.1 R,REG?

HI,
COULD YOU PLEASE ADVICE ME ON HOW TO REMOVE THE BRAKE DRUM OR HUB FROM THE CITROEN SAXO 1.1 TO GET TO THE BRAKE CYLINDER.I'TS AN R,REG & I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKE FLUID LEAKING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR WHEEL,I'M NOT SURE BUT I ASSUME THE BRAKE CYLINDER SEALS ARE WORN.

yeah remove the wheel then in the middle of the drum is an cap take that off with a flat head screwdriver which then reveals the bolt holding it on to remove the bolt you will need a 32 mm socket but before taking it off you will find that the front of the nut as been tapped into a lug on the bolt so again use a falt head screwdriver to starighten it out then you can undo the bolt but will probably have to find an extension bar beacuse the nut is royaly f***ing tight once you have removed the nut take the washer out then lightly tap the hub with a plastic hammer or depends how stuck on it is
N.B the proper way to remove it is to put a screwdriver through the wheel nut hole on the hub but it will take you hours and it still wont come of because chancea are its old and rusted so just use a hammer also note that dont be affraid to hit it hard as you say the brake has been leaking so will need to replace the shoes anyway and probably the brake cylinder so there is nothing you can do any harm to
also as your replacing one brake it would pay to do the other aswell otherwise you will get unbalance braking so replace that and it will all be sound .
hope you get on well
Tom
