How can i fix a mown lawnmower cable?

How can i fix a lawnmower cable that's been mown over? From a quick reccie on google it seems a cable connector would do the job, can anyone recommend exactly what I need, and need to do to fix this? I've an electrical Bosck powertrack 3400 ... and a very large & now overgrown lawn! Cheers.

This is easy, you need a cable connector that is waterproof, and preferably resin filled to prevent moisture ingress. If you search for 'waterproof cable joint to IP68' you should come up with some. Alternatively, I have used a product called Extend O'Cord, you can purchase online on their website.

You need a 3 terminal rubber connector at a 15 amp rating - the type that can be pulled apart. (B&Q, Wickes etc). You only use the 2 outer terminals - the middle is an earth which isn't used. The connector part with the prongs (pins) goes to the machine - the connector with the sockets goes to the mains end of the cable. Make sure that the blue wire goes to blue (negative) and the brown connects to the brown (positive or live) when you couple up! You can use a 2 pin connector, but it must be an out door type, and one that can't be fitted the wrong way round.
