what could be the problem with my Zanussi aquacycle 1400?

My washer just stopped spinning, i think it went through the wash and rinse, the pump is working (i can hear it) and it's not blocked, i removed the top of the washer and the belt seem's ok, i don't know how to get to the motor to check that can you tell me how?, i am trying to eliminate what it could be, can you please help?
Kind regards Julie.

A Great big THANK YOU to Colin, following your instructions i managed to get to the motor easily and found it was the brushes i have now fitted new ones and the washers working perfect again. Once again THANK YOU. Julie.

the cabinet splits into take lid off and you will see 6 brass screws 3 each side you only need to undo 2 each side the ones towards the back also at the bottom of the back cabinet thre will be 2-3 silver screws to undo and 1 at each side at the bottom under plastic covers. then where the water pipes and mains cable are un need to unclip that plastic housing. hope this helps
