Ford Mondeo drivers seat removal?

I need to remove my drivers seat and I am concerned on the airbag fitted. If I disconnect the electrical plug underneath will this stop the airbag deployment?

My drivers seat has come away from the runner, the bracket has snapped underneath. Is it possible to just replace the part of the drivers seat that attaches to the runners? Does the seat come apart?

Disconect the battery negative lead and leave for at least 15 minute's or longer before starting any work, so that any energy in the backup capacitor is dissipated. Make sure you've got the radio code ect before disconecting the battery.
