how can i fix my snapper riding lawnmower?

does not want to start with the key and i have no wireing diagrams. it is a snapper28" #sr1028

I was looking for something else when I saw your question. Here's the standard diagnostic procedure for "No response to ignition key" 1. check the battery; surface voltage and load test; battery connectons at the battery and ground and at the solenoid. 2. check the solenoid; check to see if you have power at the battery side of the solenoid; and with everything in "start posistion", check to see if you have power coming from the key switch when the switch is in start posistion. If you do have power coming from the key to the solenoid but no power on the starter side of the solenoid, you have a bad solenoid. I could go on, but lets do this much first.
