Ryobi 700R EZ?

I have a split in the fuel line on my trimmer and I want to know if I can buy a hose barb and some extra fuel line and splice the two together so I dont have to take the gas tank off and apart?

Once they start to split they most often need to be replaced. The most common cause for failure is ethenol gas.
