Can any one explain how you derestrict a 2003 Piaggio zip please need help

what you also need to do, is take the catalyst pipe off of the exhaust, wield it closed then take the catalyst off of the zip completely. There should be a little pipe left over from that, all you need to do is clog it up completely, i just used alot of iron wool and a piece of black tape over the top of that. Happy Days, good luck

yeah oll what u have to do is take that washer out cut the pipe off the exaust and weld it shut and it may go on the flat aboult 50 mph thanks hope u get on well m8

i believe that it has two restrictions, one is in the exhaust, which is more hassle than its worth, and the other is in the belt casing, allegedly its a small washer that stops the cones mashing together properly. its supposed to increase top speed by 15 miles an hour. you have to remove the casing, and the pulley, the washer should be located behind the pulley. The front pulley is free moving so to remove you have to take the cover off the fan on the other side of the bike to hold the shaft still while you remove the pulley. I plan to do this to my lads scooter, but yet to find the time. Hope you get on ok.
