I have a Rangemaster Elan 110, so I don't know how similar they are, but the grill element has two cross-head screws that hold it to the back "wall" of the grill area. You may have to remove the front upper lip that supports the front of the grill element first, then remove the 2 screws and gently pull the element forward. It will have a 2 or 4 spade connectors at the rear (you have already isolated the electric supply?).
Carefully remove them and DO ensure they do not fall back through the hole their wire pokes through.
Replace the grill element with a new one (available from Rangemaster or much cheaper through a certain famous auction site) and reassemble.
