T Registered Handbrake will not adjust - there is nowhere inside the vehicle like the more modern Puntos to adjust the cable - the only advice I receive from my local garage is "there awful on Puntos, forever in here being done..." which isnt much help really - can someone help me ?????

the garage is wrong, lift the handbrake gaitor off (leather surround bit) there's a nut under there you tighten, job done, very easy

Most cars of that age will hav a cam mechanism on the rear brake pads which take up play _ so the shoes may be too worn
