I have a Samsung washing machine that over the last few weeks took a certain amount of fabric conditioner during a wash cycle, and this has progressively worse until now when it does'nt take anything at all. I have cleaned out the dispensing compartment as best I can without taking the machine apart. Any ideas?

If you've cleaned the drawer and that's not the problem, try cleaning the inside of the drawer, the holes through which the water gets into the fabric softener dispenser. Usually there is not enough water getting into it quickly enough to create the the suction flow for the section to be cleared. If you take out your dispenser drawer, fill it with water up to the level of the fabric conditioner, then quickly overfill it and stop, you'll see how that section works. Only recently discovered this as mine was doing the same.
