how can i fix an ideal istor he260/he325 boiler?

i have a ideal istor either he260 or he325 and its about 3 years old the heating as been off for a while due to the nice weather but the hot water has been fine a day ago the hot water stopped working, so i tried the heating and that wasnt working either. i reverted to my emersion heater to get by and found that not to be working either. a corgi registered plumber has been to look who is friend but he just does installs and couldnt see the things he deals with anything wrong, my next door neighbour has checked there is power to it as he is an electrician, basically we are stuck can anyone help?

IF YOU HAVE CHECKED SUPPLY VOLTAGE GOING INTO THE UNIT, THEN CHECK THE IMMERSION THERMOSTAT, PROBLEM IS IF HOT WATER CYLINDER IS BELOW THE BOILER YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE GAS BOILER ABOVE IT, BUT FIRST CHECK THE IMMERSION, IT HAS AN OVERLOAD ON IT IF YOU SWITH OF ALL POWER TO UNIT IT IS POSSIBLE TO REMOVE THE COVER OF HEATER ONCE THAT IS DONE PUT HAND INTO HEATER AND YOU SHOULD FEEL A LITTLE BUTTON UP IT IS LIKE THE END OF BALL POINT PEN PUSH IT DOWN TO RESET IT THEN REPLACE THE COVER AND SWITCH ON THE SUPPLY GOOD IDEA IS TO CHECK THE ELECTRIC METER IT WILL SHOW IF IMMERSION IS USING 3 kW BY DISC ROTATING FASTER THAN NORMAL IF NOT YOU NEED TO CHECK THERMOSTAT IF FAULTY REPLACE IT COSTS ABOUT £45.00
