My Vauxhall Vectra 2.5 overheats?

T reg 1999 Vauxhall Vectra 2.5 V6 (Saab engine) suddenly took to overheating. I suspect the thermostat but don't know where it is.
Any help would be welcome.

thremostats are invariably connected in or to the top radiator hose at the engine end. remove the hose at engine, peer down engine hose connection and you will probably see the end of it.typicaly the connector housing secured by 3-.4 bolts ,remove the housing bolts and tap carefully to remove.when replacing the housing faces MUST be totaly clean.and use new gasket.occasionaly the housing or thermostat are unusual but heat rises so they have to be on the highest point .
