my hotpoint BFI 620 (2yrs old) has 1st and 2nd light flashing and wont work? anybody any clues to what the 2 flashing lights are. hotpoint wont tell me over the phone

i have same model, according to the instruction booklet the middle 2 lights flash if the water is turned off - or not getting through. Worth checking the hoses at the back are not crushed or twisted?
The Eco button is flashing on my 2 year old m/c and it doesn't clean properly. It's £100 for a call out or £160 for a year warranty. I'm going to check new prices of more reliable machines, sounds like these give up after 2 years.
