Honda HF2417HME Tractor Mower hunting problem?

Honda HF2417HME Tractor Mower with GCV 350 motor.

I have had experience of two different mowers of the same specification as above where both of them start to hunt and spit back after a few minutes of running and continues whilst driving but the problem is not apparent when driving with the cutter engaged.
Anyone know the solution?

Hi - the mixture is slightly lean under no-load conditions. The only proper cure is a carb strip and ultrasonic clean (mid-range fuel bleeds are patially blocked), but depending on model you may be able to compensate by adjusting the auxlliary air bleed screw on carb.
