gilera runner vx, sas system?

would the new gilera run without a secondary air system?, wanting to take it off and fit a leo vince exhaust. the sas is only for a catalyzed pipe.

i have a 2007 runner vx and have just fitted a scorpion exhaust with no problems still goes well better in fact and with a little more punch from the lights
