Prolems with air in lines on my Kango diesel?

After stopping for a short time, in the pipe from the sqeesy bleeding bulb to the filter the deisel starts to run back leaving air in the pipe and if you do not sqeese to get the air out the engine will hunt for a while, could it be the connecting pipe fitting that goes on to the filter or is there a one way valve in the squeesy bulb and that is letting the fuel go backwards, I have changed the filter but to no avail

I had the same problem with a customer of mine on his Kangoo, after several attempts I ended up fitting new fuel lines (with hand pump) in the engine bay, problem then stopped, smear a thin layer of grease around fuel pipe connections to aid sealing.

remove filler cap in case of blocked vent causing vacum build up.check filter seal byspraying with dilute washing up liquid and looking for bubles.check for crushed or pinched lines on feed.
