Remove the fascia panels immediately below and above the steering column. That will give access to some locating screws which hold the trim-piece immediately below the cluster. (Get a pozidrive screwdriver with a long shaft! makes things much easier.)
Then remove that lower trimpiece. That exposes two screws holding in the instrument cluster. Remove them. Drop the steering wheel to its lowest position.
Then get a broad flat-bladed screwdriver: protect the surround - but gently prise out the cluster. IT MUST BE VERTICAL AT ALL TIMES !!! There is silicon oil inside some of the gauges and it will leak out if the cluster is not vertical.
Pull the left hand side of the cluster around - there is one single connector towards the right hand side. To undo that connector, you need to be able to rotate upwards the little black locking arm which locks the connector into place. Rotating the arm prises out the connector.
Your cluster should now be free.
