My eMachine won't startup Boot sector error How do I fix?

on startup my eMachine PC blue screens with a boot sector error. The machine will not start in safe mode. Can it be recovered?

The bootsector contains everything the computer needs to boot Windoze. If it is hosed and you don't have the recovery disks, You are hosed and need to reinstall.

well if u had nortons on the system and made the system recovery disks u got a chance just put them in and let them run, they should repair the damage, or if u got a boot disk try running the scandisk that might do it too
